Synopsis/Plot
Romeo Must Die is an action-packed martial arts drama that follows the story of two rival gangs, the Chinese and the African-American, who are fighting for control of Oakland, California. The movie stars Jet Li as Han Sing, a former Chinese mob enforcer whose family was killed in a gang war. He travels to Oakland to seek revenge and discovers a complicated love story between Trish O’Day (Aaliyah) and her brother, Kai (Delroy Lindo).
When Han and Trish meet, they soon discover they have a common enemy: the powerful and ruthless Isaak O’Day (Isaak O’Day), the leader of the African-American gang. As Han and Trish fall in love and join forces to fight against Isaak and his gang, they must also find a way to bring peace between the two warring factions.
The movie features intense martial arts fight scenes and spectacular stunts, as well as heartfelt moments between the two leads. The music, composed by Aaliyah, adds to the atmosphere of the movie and brings an emotional depth to the characters.
