Synopsis/Plot
RocknRolla is a 2008 British crime comedy-drama film written and directed by Guy Ritchie. Set in London, the film follows the intertwining storylines of various criminals, small-time gangsters, and their associates as they all try to get rich quick.
The film begins with a group of criminals, led by the charismatic One Two (Gerard Butler), attempting to steal millions of pounds from a Russian mobster, Uri Omovich (Karel Roden). When the heist goes wrong, the criminals find themselves on the wrong side of the law and in the sights of Lenny Cole (Tom Wilkinson), a powerful crime lord who controls the city.
Meanwhile, Uri’s assistant, Stella (Thandie Newton), is trying to keep the stolen money safe from Lenny and his thugs. As the criminals try to figure out what to do with the money, they become entangled in a web of deceit and betrayal.
The cast also includes Mark Strong, Idris Elba, Jeremy Piven, Toby Kebbell, Tom Hardy, Chris Bridges, and Ludacris.
