Synopsis – What to Expect from “Roadgames”
Roadgames is a 1981 Australian thriller film directed by Richard Franklin and starring Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film follows an American truck driver (Keach) travelling through the Australian Outback who finds himself in a game of cat-and-mouse when he realizes he’s being followed by a mysterious car.
The film opens with an American truck driver, Pat Quid (Stacy Keach), travelling through the Australian Outback. He meets a young hitchhiker, Pamela (Jamie Lee Curtis), and they become friends. As they travel together, they notice that they are being followed by a mysterious car. Pat and Pamela become increasingly suspicious, and when the car finally passes them, they realize it has no driver.
The two of them soon discover that they are being stalked by a serial killer, who is playing a twisted game of cat-and-mouse with them. The killer has been preying on hitchhikers, and it’s up to Pat and Pamela to outwit him and survive.
The chase leads them through the Outback, with the killer always one step ahead. As they try to stay one step ahead of the killer, they must also contend with the harsh environment of the Outback, as well as their own feelings for each other.
