Synopsis – What to Expect from “Rising Sun”
Rising Sun is a 1993 thriller film directed by Philip Kaufman and starring Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes. The film follows a murder investigation in Los Angeles, in which the victim is the daughter of a powerful Japanese magnate.
The movie begins with the discovery of the body of a young woman in a high-rise building owned by the powerful Japanese Nakamoto Corporation. Detective Web Smith (Snipes) and his partner, John Connor (Connery), are assigned to investigate the case.
The two detectives soon realize that the murder is linked to the shady dealings of the Nakamoto Corporation and its powerful Chairman, Sakamura (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa). As they investigate further, they uncover a web of corruption and deceit involving the American and Japanese governments, as well as the Nakamoto Corporation.
The investigation leads Smith and Connor to Japan, where they discover a secret network of powerful individuals who are using the Nakamoto Corporation to manipulate the stock market and make a huge profit. As they continue to unravel the mystery, they are pursued by a ruthless assassin and must confront the powerful forces behind the conspiracy.
In the end, Smith and Connor are able to bring the perpetrators to justice and expose the truth behind the Nakamoto Corporation’s corrupt dealings. Rising Sun is an action-packed and thrilling ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
