Synopsis – What to Expect from “Riders”
Riders is a 2002 film starring Matt Damon and Stephen Baldwin. The movie follows the story of four friends, all of whom have had their lives changed by a tragedy in their past.
The group consists of Sean (Matt Damon), a former professional BMX rider who has been struggling to make ends meet since his accident; Chris (Stephen Baldwin), an ex-convict trying to turn his life around; Jimmy (Steve Zahn), a struggling musician who is trying to make it in the music industry; and Jack (John Pyper-Ferguson), an ex-alcoholic who is struggling to stay sober.
The four friends decide to go on a cross-country road trip to take part in a BMX competition in California. Along the way, they face many obstacles, including a dangerous biker gang, a corrupt sheriff, and a mysterious stranger who seems to be following them.
The group also experiences many life-changing moments, as they learn to forgive each other and themselves and find the strength to overcome their pasts. In the end, the friends come to realize that their friendship is stronger than any obstacle they face.
