Synopsis – What to Expect from “Ricki and the Flash”
Ricki and the Flash follows the story of Ricki Rendazzo, a middle-aged woman who gave up her family and a career in music to pursue her dreams of rock stardom. Now, after years of struggling to make it big, she is a regular at a local bar, playing covers with her band, The Flash.
When Ricki’s ex-husband Pete calls to inform her that their daughter Julie is going through a difficult time, Ricki is forced to confront the choices she made years ago. Desperate to reconnect with her family, Ricki returns home to Indianapolis and attempts to make amends.
While her ex-husband and children are initially wary of Ricki, they eventually come to accept her presence in their lives. As they spend more time together, Ricki begins to learn the importance of family and discovers that her music can bring them closer together.
Ricki is also forced to confront her own feelings for her ex-husband, as well as her insecurities about her career. With the help of her bandmates and her family, Ricki is able to find the courage to pursue her dreams and prove to herself and her family that she can make it.
The movie follows Ricki as she learns to balance her dreams and her family, ultimately finding a new sense of purpose and peace. Along the way, she discovers the power of music to bring people together and learns to embrace her own talents and
