Synopsis/Plot
Resurrection is a 1980 American drama film starring Ellen Burstyn, Sam Shepard, Richard Farnsworth, and Roberts Blossom. The film was directed by Daniel Petrie and written by Lewis John Carlino, based on the 1977 novel of the same name by Leo Tolstoy.
The film tells the story of a woman named Emily (Burstyn), who is struggling to cope with the death of her son. After years of mourning, Emily finds solace in a mysterious man who appears in her small town, claiming to be her son, who had died seven years earlier.
