Synopsis/Plot
Resident Evil is a 2002 science-fiction action-horror film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Eric Mabius, and James Purefoy. The film is based on the video game series of the same name and follows the story of Alice, a security specialist who wakes up in an underground laboratory with no memory of her past.
Alice soon learns that the laboratory, known as The Hive, is owned by the Umbrella Corporation, a powerful and sinister organization that is responsible for the creation of the T-virus, a mutagenic virus that has caused a zombie apocalypse. To make matters worse, the virus has mutated and is now capable of infecting humans. With the help of a team of survivors, Alice must battle her way through the zombie-infested facility and find a way to stop the virus before it destroys the world.
The movie is filled with intense action sequences, suspenseful moments, and some truly terrifying creatures. The special effects are top-notch and the acting is solid, making Resident Evil a thrilling and entertaining ride.
