Synopsis/Plot

Reign of the Supermen is a 2019 American direct-to-video animated superhero film produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment. It is the sequel to the 2018 animated film The Death of Superman and the ninth installment in the DC Animated Movie Universe. The film follows the aftermath of Superman’s death as four new Supermen appear to fill the void left by the Man of Steel.

The film follows the events of The Death of Superman. After Superman’s death, the public is in mourning and the world is left without a protector. Meanwhile, four new Supermen appear: the Cyborg Superman, the Eradicator, Superboy, and Steel. The Cyborg Superman, who was created by Lex Luthor and Brainiac, claims to be the true Superman and is determined to take his place as Earth’s protector. The Eradicator, a Kryptonian artificial intelligence, is determined to restore Krypton on Earth. Superboy, a clone created by Luthor and Cadmus Labs, is a teenager with superhuman powers and a conflicted identity. Steel, a scientist and inventor, uses his technology to become a hero for the people of Metropolis.
