Synopsis/Plot
Red Eye is a 2005 American psychological thriller film directed by Wes Craven and written by Carl Ellsworth. The film stars Rachel McAdams as Lisa Reisert, a hotel manager who is taken on a late-night flight by Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy), a psychopathic terrorist who plans to use her to carry out his sinister agenda.
The film opens with Lisa checking into a hotel in Miami for a business conference. She meets Jackson, a charming and seemingly harmless passenger in the hotel bar, and the two strike up a conversation. Later, while on the flight home, Lisa is shocked to discover that Jackson is actually a terrorist who has orchestrated her kidnapping. He threatens to kill her father if she does not cooperate with his plans.
With her life and her father’s in danger, Lisa is forced to use her skills as a hotel manager to help Jackson carry out his mission. She must use her knowledge of the hotel’s security systems and the help of a mysterious stranger to outsmart Jackson and get away.
