Synopsis – What to Expect from “Ravenous”
Ravenous is a horror-thriller set in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in 1847. Captain John Boyd (Guy Pearce) is a disgraced soldier who is sent to a remote outpost in the mountains. He soon learns of a local legend about a cannibalistic figure known as “Colonel Ives” (Robert Carlyle).
At the outpost, Boyd meets a strange and mysterious man named F.W. Colqhoun (Jeffrey Jones). Colqhoun tells Boyd of a horrific incident that occurred in the area years ago, involving Ives and a group of settlers who were captured and eaten by him.
Boyd and a group of other soldiers decide to investigate the incident and venture out into the mountains. Along the way, they encounter a strange Native American tribe that is living in the area. The tribe is led by a mysterious figure called “The Windigo” (Jeremy Davies).
The group soon discovers that Ives is still alive and is using the Windigo to capture and eat people. Boyd and the others must find a way to stop Ives before he can capture and eat them.
The group must confront their own fears and fight against the Windigo and Ives in order to survive. Along the way, they discover the truth behind the legend of Ives and the Windigo, and the true horror of cannibalism.
Ravenous is a thrilling and suspenseful horror-thriller that will keep you on
