Synopsis – What to Expect from “Rags”
Rags is a 2012 musical comedy-drama film directed by Bille Woodruff. The film follows the story of Charlie Prince, an orphaned teenager living in New York City. He dreams of becoming a famous singer, but is stuck working odd jobs to make ends meet.
One day, Charlie meets Kadee Worth, a famous pop star who is looking for a new songwriter. Kadee sees potential in Charlie and offers him a job as her songwriter. Charlie jumps at the chance and moves into the luxurious penthouse Kadee owns.
At first, Charlie is overwhelmed by the lifestyle and fame, but soon he learns to adapt. He begins to write hit songs for Kadee, and the two become close friends.
Meanwhile, Charlie has to deal with his feelings for Kadee’s assistant, a beautiful girl named Molly. He also has to deal with the disapproval of his foster parents, who are worried about his newfound fame and wealth.
Despite all the obstacles, Charlie continues to pursue his dream. With Kadee’s help, he is able to write a song that will launch his career. He also finds love with Molly and is able to reconcile with his foster parents.
In the end, Charlie’s dreams come true and he becomes a successful singer-songwriter. The film ends with Charlie and Molly performing the song he wrote for Kadee at a sold-out concert.
