Synopsis – What to Expect from “Quick Change”
Quick Change is a 1990 American crime comedy film directed by Howard Franklin and starring Bill Murray, Geena Davis, Randy Quaid, and Jason Robards. The film follows a trio of criminals, led by Murray’s character, as they attempt to rob a bank in New York City.
The film begins with Grimm (Murray) and Phyllis (Davis) disguised as clowns, along with their partner Loomis (Quaid), as they enter a bank in New York City. Grimm and Phyllis are able to quickly get the bank employees and customers to cooperate by holding them at gunpoint. They are able to successfully rob the bank of $50,000, but as they are leaving, they are spotted by a security guard.
Grimm and Phyllis are able to escape the bank and make their way to the airport, where they plan to board a flight to Paris. However, their plan is complicated by a series of unexpected events, including a series of subway delays, a run-in with a former bank employee, and a series of miscommunications.
Eventually, the trio is able to make it to the airport, but they are quickly apprehended by the police. Grimm and Phyllis are able to escape and make their way to a nearby hotel, where they plan to hide out until they can find a way to leave the country.
