Synopsis/Plot
Purple Hearts is a 1984 war drama starring Ken Wahl and Cheryl Ladd. Set during the Vietnam War, the film follows two American soldiers, Sgt. Michael Rivers (Wahl) and Sgt. Karen Thompson (Ladd), who are assigned to a special unit in the jungle. The unit’s mission is to rescue a group of American POWs held captive by the Vietcong.
The two soldiers must overcome their own personal issues, as well as the dangers of the jungle and the enemy, to complete their mission. Along the way, they form a bond that transcends the horrors of war.
