Synopsis – What to Expect from “Pure Luck”
Pure Luck is a 1991 comedy film directed by Nadia Tass and starring Martin Short and Danny Glover. The story follows Eugene Proctor (Short), an uptight and clumsy accountant who is sent on a mission to Mexico to locate the daughter of one of his firm’s wealthiest clients.
The daughter, Valeria (Sheila Kelley), is a wild and irresponsible young woman who has gone missing after a night of partying in Mexico. Eugene is sent to find her, accompanied by Raymond Campanella (Glover), a private investigator with a reputation for being the unluckiest man alive.
The two set off on a wild and hilarious journey through Mexico, encountering a variety of colorful characters and situations. Along the way, they must contend with a variety of obstacles, including angry drug dealers, corrupt cops, and a mysterious cult.
