Synopsis/Plot
Priest is a 2011 American post-apocalyptic dystopian science fiction action horror film starring Paul Bettany, Karl Urban, Maggie Q, Cam Gigandet, Lily Collins, Brad Dourif, Stephen Moyer, and Christopher Plummer.
Set in an alternate world, the story follows a priest (Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a sheriff (Urban) and a priestess (Q) to track down a band of renegade vampires who have kidnapped his niece (Collins). As the priest and his companions battle the vampires, they discover a larger plot by a powerful vampire leader (Plummer) who seeks to unleash a deadly virus upon humanity.
The film is set in a world where vampires and humans live together in a fragile peace, enforced by the Church. The Church has created a special order of Priests, who are trained to hunt and kill vampires. When a group of vampires kidnap the niece of Priest (Bettany), he teams up with the Sheriff (Urban) and Priestess (Q) to find them and bring her home.
