Synopsis – What to Expect from “Pony Boys”
Pony Boys is a 2022 drama film directed by Terence Davies and starring newcomer Jaden Smith. The film follows the story of two teenage brothers, Pony (Jaden Smith) and Boys (Will Poulter), living in a small rural town in the South of England.
The brothers are close, but Pony is often left feeling like the odd one out in the small town. He dreams of one day leaving and finding a better life. Meanwhile, Boys is content with their life and is content to stay put.
One day, Pony meets a girl named Daisy (Gemma Arterton) who is visiting the town on vacation. The two quickly become friends and Pony finds himself falling in love with her. He begins to dream of a life with Daisy and a way out of the small town.
Meanwhile, Boys is becoming increasingly jealous of Pony’s relationship with Daisy. He begins to act out and rebel against his brother, leading to a dangerous rivalry between the two.
The brothers are soon forced to confront their differences and reconcile their differences in a dramatic climax. Pony is forced to decide whether he will stay with his brother or pursue his dreams of a life with Daisy.
