Synopsis/Plot
Poison Ivy: The New Seduction is a 1997 erotic thriller starring Jaime Pressly as the titular character, Ivy, a manipulative and seductive teen. The film is a sequel to the 1992 movie, Poison Ivy, and follows the same basic premise of a young woman using her sexuality to manipulate the people around her.
When the seductive Ivy moves in next door to the wealthy, dysfunctional family of the wealthy Vincent (Michael Des Barres), she quickly begins to manipulate the family members and their relationships. She begins by seducing Vincent’s teenage son, Michael (Jared Leto), and then moves on to manipulating Vincent’s wife, Veronica (Nerissa), and his daughter, Vanessa (Alyssa Milano). Ivy’s manipulations soon cause a rift in the family, as she begins to control the family’s fortunes and relationships.
Ivy’s manipulations soon spiral out of control, as she begins to terrorize the family, using blackmail and threats to get what she wants. Eventually, Ivy’s manipulations come to a head, and she is forced to confront the consequences of her actions.
