Synopsis – What to Expect from “Plan 9 from Outer Space”
Plan 9 from Outer Space is a 1959 American science-fiction horror film written, produced, and directed by Ed Wood. The film is often cited as one of the worst films ever made.
The film follows a group of aliens from outer space who have come to Earth to resurrect the dead in order to stop humanity from creating a doomsday weapon that could destroy the universe. The aliens use a “Plan 9” to reanimate corpses, which they then use to attack the living.
The story follows a group of three men – Jeff Trent (Gregory Walcott), his wife Paula (Mona McKinnon), and police officer Captain Dan Kelton (Tom Keene) – who are investigating a series of strange occurrences. They encounter a mysterious old man (Bela Lugosi) who tells them of the aliens’ plan, and they soon discover the aliens’ laboratory and the reanimated corpses.
The group must now fight to save the world from the aliens’ evil plan, and stop the dead from taking over the Earth. Along the way, they must battle the aliens’ mind control, the reanimated corpses, and the supernatural forces unleashed by the aliens.
The film features a number of special effects, including flying saucers, reanimated corpses, and a giant flying brain. It also features a number of cameos, including Vampira (Maila Nurmi), Tor Johnson, and Criswell.
