Synopsis/Plot
Pineapple Express is a 2008 action comedy film directed by David Gordon Green and starring Seth Rogen and James Franco. The film follows Dale Denton (Rogen), a 25-year-old process server and his marijuana dealer Saul Silver (Franco) as they are forced to go on the run after witnessing a murder by a corrupt police officer and a drug lord.
Dale and Saul are two unlikely friends who have an unlikely bond over their shared love of marijuana. Dale is a process server with a dead-end job who is dating his high school sweetheart, Angie (Amber Heard). Saul is a small-time drug dealer who supplies Dale with his marijuana.
One day, while delivering a subpoena, Dale witnesses a murder committed by a crooked cop, Ted Jones (Rosie Perez), and a drug lord, Ted’s boss, named Matheson (Gary Cole). Fearing for their lives, Dale and Saul flee the scene and go into hiding.
