Synopsis/Plot
Pieces is a 1982 slasher film directed by Juan Piquer Simón. It follows the story of a college student, Nancy, who is targeted by a mysterious serial killer known as the “Golden Chainsaw Killer”. The killer is murdering college students in a grisly fashion, leaving pieces of their bodies behind. Nancy, along with her friends, must try to solve the mystery of the killer before he can strike again.
The film is set in Boston, Massachusetts and follows Nancy as she attempts to discover the identity of the killer. Along the way, she meets a variety of colorful characters, including a detective, a professor, and a mysterious stranger. As the mystery deepens, Nancy discovers that the killer is targeting her specifically and that he is connected to her past.
The film is filled with suspense, horror, and gore. It features some of the most intense and gory death scenes in the slasher genre. The film also features some of the most iconic music from the era, including the theme song “Pieces” by Giorgio Moroder.
