Synopsis/Plot
Pete’s Dragon is a 2016 live-action/animated fantasy film directed by David Lowery. The movie follows the story of Pete, a young orphan boy who has been living in the forest for six years with his best friend, Elliot, an invisible dragon. Pete is discovered by Grace and her father, a local lumber mill owner, and they take him in and care for him.
As Pete begins to adjust to his new life, he must also protect Elliot from the dangers of the outside world. He must also deal with the suspicious and dangerous actions of Gavin, the local mill owner’s brother, who is determined to capture Elliot for his own gain.
Pete’s Dragon is a heartwarming story about friendship and courage. With the help of his new family and friends, Pete must find a way to protect Elliot from those who would do him harm and find a way to keep him safe. Along the way, he discovers the power of friendship, courage, and love. The film features an all-star cast including Bryce Dallas Howard, Robert Redford, Karl Urban, and Oakes Fegley. The film also features beautiful animation and stunning visuals that help bring Elliot to life.
