Synopsis/Plot
Permission is a romantic comedy-drama film directed by Brian Crano and starring Rebecca Hall, Dan Stevens, Gina Gershon, and François Arnaud. The film follows a couple, Anna (Hall) and Will (Stevens), who are in a long-term relationship and are considering taking the next step by getting married. After a night out with friends, Anna and Will are challenged to explore the boundaries of their relationship and question the idea of monogamy. They decide to experiment with an open relationship, allowing each other to explore outside sexual relationships.
The film follows their journey as they navigate the complexities of this new arrangement and explore the boundaries of their relationship. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including Anna’s free-spirited sister, Mara (Gershon), and a young musician, Dane (Arnaud). As Anna and Will explore their new arrangement, they must confront their own insecurities and fears and learn to trust each other.
