Synopsis/Plot
Paul is a 2011 sci-fi comedy film directed by Greg Mottola and starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Seth Rogen. The film follows two British comic book geeks, Graeme Willy (Simon Pegg) and Clive Gollings (Nick Frost), who travel to the United States to attend the world’s largest comic convention. On their way, they accidentally pick up an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) who has escaped from a top-secret military base. With the help of Paul, the two friends embark on a road trip to take him back to his home planet. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including a Christian fundamentalist, an RV-driving couple, and an alien-hunting government agent. As they make their way across the country, they must evade the authorities and try to get Paul home safely. Along the way, they also discover the importance of friendship and loyalty, and learn to appreciate the differences between people.
