Synopsis – What to Expect from “Paradise”
Paradise is a 1982 romantic drama film starring Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith. It tells the story of a young couple, Ben and Lily, who fall in love and embark on a road trip to the titular Paradise, a small town in the middle of nowhere.
The film begins with Ben and Lily meeting at a carnival. They quickly become infatuated with each other and, after a brief courtship, decide to run away together. They hitch a ride and eventually end up in the town of Paradise, a small, rural community in the middle of nowhere. Here, they find a quiet life and a sense of peace and serenity that they had been longing for.
However, their newfound paradise is threatened when they discover that the town is in financial trouble, and the citizens are struggling to make ends meet.
