Synopsis – What to Expect from “Paper Moon”
Paper Moon is a 1973 comedy-drama film directed by Peter Bogdanovich and starring Ryan and Tatum O’Neal as an unlikely pair of con artists.
The film follows Moze (Ryan O’Neal) and Addie (Tatum O’Neal), a father and daughter duo who travel across the Midwest during the Great Depression. Moze is a con man who has just been released from prison and is trying to make his way back to his hometown of Hannibal, Missouri. He meets Addie, an orphaned 9-year-old girl, at the funeral of her mother, who was Moze’s former lover. Moze takes Addie under his wing, and the two embark on a journey across the Midwest.
Along the way, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, including a preacher, a traveling salesman, and a group of orphans. Moze and Addie use their wits and charm to swindle people out of their money, but they also form a strong bond. As they travel, Addie begins to learn the tricks of the trade from Moze, and the two grow closer.
The pair eventually make it to Hannibal, where Moze reunites with his old friends and Addie meets her long-lost aunt. However, Moze must confront the consequences of his past misdeeds, and Addie must decide whether she wants to stay with Moze or go with her aunt. In the end
