Synopsis/Plot
Overlord is a 2018 American horror-thriller film directed by Julius Avery and produced by J. J. Abrams. It stars Jovan Adepo, Wyatt Russell, Mathilde Ollivier, John Magaro, Gianny Taufer, Pilou Asbæk, and Bokeem Woodbine.
The film follows a group of American soldiers on the eve of D-Day in World War II, who are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. As they approach their target, they soon discover that they are not just fighting against the Nazi forces, but against supernatural forces of evil that are far more dangerous and terrifying than anything they could have ever imagined.
The story follows Private Boyce (Adepo), a young and inexperienced soldier, as he joins a squad of paratroopers on a mission to infiltrate a mysterious Nazi-occupied village. As they venture deeper into the village, they realize that it is not a normal village, but a twisted laboratory where the Nazis are conducting experiments on the local population. The soldiers soon discover that the Nazis are attempting to create a race of super-soldiers by using the ancient powers of dark magic.
