Synopsis/Plot
Over the Moon is a 2020 animated musical adventure film directed by Glen Keane and John Kahrs. The film follows the story of Fei Fei, a bright and imaginative young girl who builds a rocket to the moon in order to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess.
Fei Fei is a science enthusiast who lives with her mother, Mrs. Zhong, and her father, Mr. Zhong, in a small apartment in China. Fei Fei is still grieving the death of her mother, who passed away four years ago. When Fei Fei’s father announces his plans to marry a new woman, Mrs. Zhong’s former student, Fei Fei is heartbroken and refuses to accept her. In an effort to prove the existence of the Moon Goddess, which her mother used to tell her stories about, Fei Fei sets out to build a rocket and launch it to the moon.
With the help of her neighbor, Chin, and her pet bunny rabbit Bungee, Fei Fei builds the rocket and sets off on her journey. On the moon, Fei Fei meets the Moon Goddess, Chang’e, and discovers that she is the goddess of her mother’s stories. Chang’e tells Fei Fei that she must complete three
