Synopsis/Plot
Ouija: Origin of Evil is a 2016 supernatural horror film directed and written by Mike Flanagan. The film is a prequel to the 2014 film Ouija and stars Elizabeth Reaser, Annalise Basso, Henry Thomas, and Lulu Wilson.
The story follows the Zander family, a widowed mother and her two daughters, in 1967 Los Angeles. Struggling to make ends meet, the mother, Alice Zander (Elizabeth Reaser), begins to use an old Ouija board to give fake readings to her clients. However, unbeknownst to Alice, her youngest daughter, Doris (Lulu Wilson), has been secretly using the board to contact a spirit, which she believes to be her late father.
Things take a dark turn when the spirit begins to possess Doris, causing her to become increasingly violent and erratic. With the help of Father Tom (Henry Thomas), the family must confront the spirit before it can take over Doris completely.
