Synopsis/Plot
Oscar is a 1991 American comedy-drama film starring Sylvester Stallone, Marisa Tomei, Ornella Muti, and Chazz Palminteri. The film follows the story of Angelo “Snaps” Provolone (Stallone), a mobster who has made a deal with the feds to enter the witness protection program in exchange for testifying against his former boss. Snaps is sent to a small town in New England, where he is given a new identity as “Oscar Madison”.
The film follows Oscar as he attempts to adjust to his new life in a small town, while also trying to keep his identity a secret from his new neighbors. He finds himself struggling to fit in with the locals, who view him as an outsider, and he is also forced to confront his own feelings of loneliness and alienation.
As Oscar struggles to adjust to his new life, he also begins to learn more about himself and his past. He discovers that he is capable of more than he ever thought possible and he begins to understand why he was sent into witness protection in the first place.
