Synopsis – What to Expect from “One Good Cop”
One Good Cop is a 1991 action-drama film starring Michael Keaton as Artie Lewis, a police officer in New York City who is struggling to make ends meet for his wife and three children. After his partner is killed in the line of duty, Artie is determined to bring justice to his partner’s killer.
When Artie and his partner investigate a drug deal gone wrong, they come across a young girl named Angel (Rene Russo) who is being held against her will by a group of drug dealers. Artie takes it upon himself to save her and brings her home to his family.
Artie’s wife, Rita (Rachel Ticotin), is initially worried about Angel’s presence in their home, but eventually comes to accept her. Meanwhile, Artie is determined to bring the drug dealers to justice and continues to investigate the case.
After a few close calls, Artie is able to track down the drug dealers and take them into custody. In the process, he also discovers a larger drug ring and is able to take down the entire operation.
With justice served, Artie and his family are able to move on with their lives. Angel, who has been taken in by the Lewis family, goes on to become a successful lawyer and helps Artie in his efforts to make the streets of New York City a safer place for everyone.
