Synopsis – What to Expect from “One for the Money”
One for the Money is a 2012 American action comedy film directed by Julie Anne Robinson and starring Katherine Heigl as Stephanie Plum, a down-on-her-luck lingerie buyer who becomes a bounty hunter to make ends meet.
Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl) is a single, unemployed woman living in Trenton, New Jersey. Desperate for money, she applies for a job as a bounty hunter for her cousin Vinnie (Patrick Fischler), who runs a bail bonds agency. She is quickly thrown into the world of bounty hunting with the help of Ranger (Jason O’Mara), a mysterious and attractive bounty hunter, and quickly learns the ropes.
Soon, Stephanie is on the hunt for Joe Morelli (Sherman Augustus), a former cop who is wanted for murder and has skipped bail. Stephanie finds herself in a dangerous situation as she gets closer to catching Joe and she must use all of her skills to stay alive. Along the way, she discovers that Joe is not the only one with a secret and she must face her own inner demons in order to succeed.
With the help of Ranger and her best friend Lula (Debbie Reynolds), Stephanie must navigate the dangerous world of bounty hunting and uncover the truth about Joe Morelli. Along the way, she must also confront her own fears and insecurities in order to become the bounty hunter she was meant to be.
