Synopsis – What to Expect from “Offender”
Offender is a British crime drama film released in 2012. It follows the story of Kyle (Joe Cole), a young man who is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit.
The film opens with Kyle being sentenced to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He is sent to a maximum security prison where he is forced to face the harsh realities of prison life. With the help of his cellmate, Kyle learns to survive in the prison and begins to build a reputation as a tough guy.
However, Kyle soon finds himself targeted by the prison’s most powerful gang, run by the notorious criminal, Tommy (Robbie Gee). Kyle is forced to fight for his life as Tommy and his gang try to take him down.
Meanwhile, Kyle’s brother, Sean (Shaun Dooley), is trying to find out who framed Kyle and why. He teams up with a detective, played by Neil Maskell, and the two of them discover that the person responsible for Kyle’s incarceration is a powerful and corrupt businessman.
Sean and the detective come up with a plan to break Kyle out of prison and expose the truth. With the help of some of Kyle’s friends, they are able to pull off a daring prison break.
In the end, Kyle is able to clear his name and is reunited with his family. The film ends with Kyle and Sean walking away from the prison, free men.
