Synopsis – What to Expect from “North”
North is a comedy-drama film released in 1994, directed by Rob Reiner and starring Elijah Wood, Bruce Willis, and Jason Alexander.
The movie follows the story of 11-year-old North (Elijah Wood), who is tired of his life and his parents (Bruce Willis and Julia Louis-Dreyfus). He decides to take matters into his own hands and embarks on a journey to find the perfect parents.
North travels around the United States, meeting a variety of characters along the way, including a friendly truck driver, a Native American family, and a lawyer. He also meets a variety of different parents, from a strict military family to a family of hippies. He eventually finds a family in Alaska that he believes is perfect for him.
However, North soon discovers that his new family is not quite as perfect as he thought. He learns that they are planning to move to Africa and he must choose between staying with his new family or returning to his old life.
North eventually decides to go back home to his old life, but not before he has learned a valuable lesson about family and the importance of being true to yourself.
