Synopsis – What to Expect from “North Sea Hijack”
North Sea Hijack is an action-packed film released in 1980 about a daring hijacking of an oil rig in the North Sea. The hijackers, led by the ruthless and dangerous Rafe (played by Roger Moore), are a group of mercenaries intent on stealing a large shipment of gold.
The film begins with Rafe and his crew of mercenaries commandeering the oil rig and taking the crew hostage. The British government is alerted and dispatches a special forces team to the rig in an attempt to end the hijacking.
Meanwhile, the crew of the oil rig, led by the courageous Captain Frank (played by Anthony Perkins), must find a way to survive the hijackers’ demands and prevent the gold from being stolen.
The special forces team, led by the determined Major Tom (played by James Mason), is able to get on board the rig and confront the hijackers. However, the hijackers are well-armed and prepared for a fight.
The confrontation between the special forces team and the hijackers quickly escalates into an all-out battle. As the battle rages, the crew of the oil rig must find a way to survive and prevent the gold from being stolen.
At the same time, the British government must find a way to negotiate with the hijackers and prevent a disaster from occurring. In the end, the British government is able to come to an agreement with the hijackers and the gold is successfully recovered
