Synopsis/Plot
Nightbreed is a 1990 horror film directed by Clive Barker and based on his 1988 novella Cabal. The film follows Aaron Boone, a troubled young man who is wrongly diagnosed with schizophrenia and sent to a mental institution. While there, he discovers that he is actually a member of an ancient race of monsters known as the Nightbreed. He joins up with the Nightbreed and attempts to save them from a group of murderous humans led by a fanatical priest.
The film stars Craig Sheffer as Boone, Anne Bobby as Lori, and David Cronenberg as the villainous priest. The special effects were provided by Academy Award-winning makeup artist Bob Keen.
Nightbreed is a dark and twisted tale of horror and fantasy, full of violence, gore, and special effects. The film follows Boone as he discovers his true identity and attempts to save the Nightbreed from the humans who want to exterminate them.
