Synopsis/Plot
Next Friday is a 2000 comedy film directed by Steve Carr and starring Ice Cube, Mike Epps, and John Witherspoon. The film is a sequel to the 1995 hit Friday and follows the story of Craig Jones (Ice Cube) as he moves from South Central Los Angeles to the suburbs of Rancho Cucamonga.
Craig moves in with his uncle Elroy (John Witherspoon) and cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps) to escape the dangers of his old neighborhood. However, his troubles follow him to his new home when a neighborhood bully, Debo (Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister Jr.), shows up looking for revenge. With the help of his family, Craig must find a way to protect himself and his new home from Debo’s threats.
The film is filled with laughs and wild hijinks as Craig and his family try to outwit Debo. Along the way, Craig learns important lessons about family and loyalty, and discovers that the key to success is staying true to himself.
