Synopsis – What to Expect from “New Alcatraz”
New Alcatraz is a 2002 science fiction action film set in a future world where a prison is built on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The prison is designed to be completely self-sustaining and escape-proof, and is populated by the most dangerous criminals in the world.
The film follows a group of inmates who attempt to escape from the maximum security prison. Led by the charismatic and resourceful prisoner, John Mason (Christopher Lambert), the group must find a way to escape the impenetrable prison and the ruthless guards.
The group manages to sneak out of the prison and make their way to the mainland, but they discover that the prison is not as secure as they thought. The island is home to a secret laboratory where scientists are experimenting on prisoners in an attempt to create a super soldier.
The group must battle their way through the laboratory and the guards in order to escape. Along the way, they discover the truth about the island and the experiments conducted there.
The group eventually manages to make it off the island and return to the mainland, but not without facing numerous obstacles and enemies. In the end, they must use all of their skills and ingenuity to survive and make it back home.
