Synopsis – What to Expect from “Nevada Smith”
Nevada Smith tells the story of Max Sand (Steve McQueen), a Native American orphan who is out for revenge after his parents are murdered by three outlaws. After learning the identities of the outlaws, Max sets out on a quest to hunt them down and take his revenge.
Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including a former gunslinger, an outlaw, a saloon girl, and a gambler. Max eventually comes face-to-face with the three outlaws, and is forced to confront his own personal demons as he struggles to find the strength to take his revenge.
As Max’s journey progresses, he finds himself in a variety of dangerous and morally ambiguous situations. He must decide for himself what is right and wrong, and ultimately, whether or not he is capable of taking the life of another human being.
Ultimately, Max is able to find the courage to take his revenge and bring justice to his parents’ killers. In the end, he is able to reconcile his own moral code with the reality of the situation, and is able to find peace and closure.
