Synopsis/Plot
Nerve is a 2016 American techno-thriller film directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. The film stars Emma Roberts, Dave Franco, Emily Meade, Miles Heizer, Juliette Lewis, and Kimiko Glenn.
The movie follows high school senior, Vee Delmonico (Roberts), who is tired of living life on the sidelines and decides to join the online game Nerve as a “player”. Players are dared by anonymous watchers to perform various tasks, with the promise of money if they complete them. With the encouragement of her best friend, Sydney (Meade), Vee embarks on a series of increasingly dangerous dares, each one more thrilling than the last.
Along the way, Vee meets other players, including Ian (Franco), and finds herself falling for him. However, as the stakes of the game become higher, Vee and Ian soon realize that the game is more than what it seems. With the help of their friends, they must find a way to survive and beat the game before they become its latest victims.
