Synopsis/Plot
Necronomicon is a horror anthology film released in 1993 and directed by horror veterans Brian Yuzna, Christophe Gans, and Shusuke Kaneko. The film consists of three stories based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
The first story, “The Drowned,” is set in 18th century Massachusetts and tells the story of a young man who discovers the Necronomicon, a book of ancient evil. He uses the book to summon the dead and bring them back to life, only to find out that this is a mistake. The dead rise from the sea and terrorize the inhabitants of the small town.
The second story, “The Cold,” is set in the present day and follows a group of researchers who discover a mysterious book in an ancient temple. They soon discover that the book contains an evil entity that can be released by reading the book. The researchers must find a way to contain the entity before it destroys the world.
The third story, “Whispers,” is set in a future where humanity is on the brink of extinction. A group of survivors finds the Necronomicon and use it to summon an ancient evil. The evil takes
