Nashville is a 1975 American musical drama film directed by Robert Altman. It stars an ensemble cast of 24 actors, including Keith Carradine, Karen Black, Ned Beatty, Ronee Blakley, and Lily Tomlin.
The film is set in the country music capital of the world – Nashville, Tennessee. It follows the lives of 24 different characters over the course of five days, all of whom are connected in some way to the music industry.
The film begins with a concert performance by country star Haven Hamilton (Henry Gibson). After the show, he is approached by a young woman named Barbara Jean (Ronee Blakley) who is desperate for Haven to help her career.
The film then follows the intertwining stories of the other characters. There’s Linnea Reese (Lily Tomlin), a single mother who is trying to make it in the music business; Tom Frank (Keith Carradine), a drifter who is trying to make it big in the music industry; and Connie White (Karen Black), an ambitious singer who is trying to make a name for herself.
The film follows these characters as they struggle to find success in the music industry. Along the way, they’re faced with personal issues, political issues, and the ever-changing landscape of the music industry.
