Synopsis/Plot
My Little Pony: Equestria Girls is a 2013 animated musical fantasy film produced by Hasbro Studios and DHX Media. It is the first installment of the Equestria Girls film series and is based on the television series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
The film follows the Mane 6—Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy—as they are transported to an alternate world populated by human versions of themselves and their pony counterparts. In this new world, the girls must find a way to return to their own universe and save the ponies from the nefarious Sunset Shimmer, a former student of Princess Celestia who seeks to control the magical power of the alternate world.
The girls must learn to work together as a team to defeat Sunset Shimmer and her minions. Along the way, they make new friends, discover their inner strength, and learn the importance of friendship. With the help of their new human friends, the girls must also battle the powerful magic of the alternate world and ultimately save Equestria.
