Synopsis/Plot
My Cousin Vinny is a 1992 American comedy film directed by Jonathan Lynn. The film stars Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei, with Ralph Macchio, Mitchell Whitfield, Lane Smith, Bruce McGill, and Fred Gwynne in supporting roles.
The film follows two New Yorkers, Bill and Stan, who are on a road trip in Alabama when they are arrested and charged with murder. With the help of Bill’s cousin, Vincent LaGuardia Gambini, a brash and inexperienced lawyer from Brooklyn, they hope to prove their innocence in court.
Vinny is a loud, boisterous, and opinionated New Yorker who knows nothing about the law. Despite his inexperience, he is determined to prove his cousin’s innocence. With the help of his fiancée Mona Lisa Vito, a mechanic and auto expert, Vinny is able to use his street smarts and wit to win over the jury and prove his cousin’s innocence.
