Synopsis/Plot
Murder on the Orient Express is a classic murder mystery film directed by Sidney Lumet and based on the 1934 novel by Agatha Christie. The movie stars an all-star cast including Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Sean Connery, John Gielgud, Anthony Perkins, Vanessa Redgrave, and Richard Widmark.
The story follows world-famous detective Hercule Poirot (Finney) as he boards the Orient Express on a journey from Istanbul to London. During the journey, Poirot finds himself in the middle of a murder mystery when the passenger Ratchett (Widmark) is found stabbed to death in his cabin. With the help of the other passengers, Poirot must unravel the mystery and find the killer before they reach the final destination.
The film is a classic whodunit, with plenty of twists and turns as Poirot investigates the other passengers and pieces together the clues. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Ratchett was not the innocent victim he appeared to be and that his death was connected to a much larger and darker crime.
