Synopsis/Plot
Mulholland Falls is a crime drama set in 1950’s Los Angeles, starring Nick Nolte, Melanie Griffith, Chazz Palminteri, and Jennifer Connelly. The film follows a tight-knit group of four Los Angeles Police Department detectives known as the “Hat Squad,” who are tasked with finding the killer of a young woman found in a shallow grave in Mulholland Falls.
The squad is led by Max Hoover (Nolte), a tough, uncompromising cop who is determined to solve the case. He is joined by Eddie Hall (Palminteri), the squad’s muscle; Mike Rizzo (Griffith), the team’s more compassionate member; and Jimmy Fields (Connelly), the squad’s rookie. As the investigation progresses, the detectives find themselves on the trail of a powerful and dangerous criminal organization, and soon discover that they may be in over their heads.
The squad’s investigation leads them to a ruthless mob boss, played by John Malkovich, and a mysterious woman, played by Michael Madsen. As they follow the clues, they uncover a web of corruption and deceit that reaches all the way to the top of Los Angeles society. The squad
