Synopsis – What to Expect from “Mozart and the Whale”
Mozart and the Whale is a 2005 romantic drama about two people with Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism, who find love and acceptance in each other.
The story follows Donald Morton (Josh Hartnett) and Isabelle Sorenson (Radha Mitchell). Donald is a cab driver who has difficulty understanding social cues and feelings. Isabelle is a gifted mathematician who also suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome.
The two meet at a support group for people with autism and quickly form an emotional bond. Despite their differences, they find comfort in each other and share a mutual understanding.
