Synopsis – What to Expect from “Mothering Sunday”
Mothering Sunday is a romantic drama set in the 1920s. It follows Jane Fairchild, a young maid working for a wealthy family in England. She is in love with her employer’s son, Paul, but their relationship is forbidden. On Mothering Sunday, a day when servants were allowed to visit their families, Jane and Paul take the opportunity to spend the day together.
The day is filled with joy and love, but the happiness is short-lived. Jane discovers that Paul is engaged to be married to a woman from a wealthy family. As Jane’s relationship with Paul continues to evolve, she must decide whether to follow her heart or stay loyal to her employers. Ultimately, she must find a way to reconcile her conflicting emotions and find her own way in the world. With the help of her newfound friends, she discovers the courage to follow her dreams and find true happiness.
