John is determined to help Melanie get back on her feet, but his attempts to do so are met with resistance from her mother.
Meanwhile, Beatrice is struggling to keep her own life together. She is dealing with a number of health issues, as well as the fact that her son is living in another country with his wife and children. John’s attempts to help her are met with resistance, as she is determined to remain independent.
