Synopsis/Plot
Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge is an animated feature film based on the popular video game series, Mortal Kombat. It follows the story of the ninja specter Hanzo Hasashi, known as Scorpion, as he seeks revenge against those responsible for the destruction of his clan and the death of his family.
The film opens with a flashback of Scorpion’s past, showing his life as a member of the Shirai Ryu clan and the fateful day when the evil sorcerer Shang Tsung and his Outworld forces invade and slaughter his family. After his death, Scorpion is sent to the Netherrealm, where he is resurrected by the mysterious Elder Gods and given a new mission: to stop Shang Tsung from winning the MortalKombat tournament and conquering Earthrealm. To do this, Scorpion must join forces with Earthrealm’s greatest warriors, including Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and Jax Briggs. As the tournament progresses, Scorpion must face off against some of Outworld’s greatest champions, including Goro, Kano, and Mileena, as well as Sub-Zero, his former Shirai Ryu brother. In the end, Scorpion must make a fateful decision that will determine the fate of Earthrealm and his own destiny.
